General Manager (local market - Edmonton)

Position Description

The GM is an executive position responsible for sales, operations and financial management of a local data centre business.  Responsibilities include sales strategy & execution, forecasting, people management, local marketing, operations, customer satisfaction and financial management (accountable for P&L).  It includes developing a go-to-market strategy and executing that strategy.  Must have local market knowledge (Edmonton) and strong I/T sales, marketing and management experience.  Data centre operational experience a plus.  Teamwork and an entrepreneurial spirit are keys to success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Management
    • People management and leadership through motivation
    • Profit & Loss / Budget responsibility
    • Identification of product requirements and solutions
    • Monthly review of financial statements with executive team
    • Management of local partners including recruitment, training, solution delivery 
  • Sales Management
    • Development and execution of local go-to-market strategy
    • Lead and assist in sales process and closure (player/coach)
    • Solution selling implementation and execution
    • Sales forecasting and CRM (pipeline) management
    • Meet/exceed sales objectives
    • Provide Care Factor visibility to local market/community
    • Execute local marketing programs to support sales efforts and Care Factor branding 
  • Operations Management
    • Responsible for customer implementation
    • Capital budget management for success based requirements
    • Responsible for customer satisfaction
    • Evaluation of central operations customer service/support monthly
    • Operational responsibilities for onsite maintenance activities
    • Responsible for physical plant in concert with corporate operations
