Care Factor Gives Back for Christmas

This season Care Factor worked with the North East Calgary Adopt a Family Society (www.necaafs.com).Care Factor gives to the Community

Their mission is “To develop and provide resources through the delivery of short term programs and services for North East Calgary’s financially challenged individuals and families in partnership with volunteers, community and business.”

Care Factor Staff (L to R): Kim Hook, Colin Paddington,
Scott Sargent, Luis Lotto, David Lod, Joel Steacy

Care Factor chose to sponsor a family of 6 people where Dad is a laborer and Mom stays at home. While their Dad works full time, they do not have anything left over at the end of the month and even finding enough to feed everyone can be “a challenge”.

The sponsored family consists of Mom, Dad, 2 girls ages 4 & 7 and 2 boys ages 2 and 7 months.

As a company we were able to raise $1,100 which was donated as Superstore gift cards that (Mom) can use for food and other family essentials.

  • A full tool set, new work boots and jeans for Dad
  • A food processor, shoes and clothes for Mom,
  • My little pony and Disney Princess toys for the girls
  • Spiderman stuff and cars, educational enrichment toys, and clothing for the boys
  • Movie Tickets for a family night out

Other presents donated by Care Factor employees included gently used clothing and diapers totalling 31 packages!

The items donated will not only help the family with day to day work and mobility but we hope will put a smile on the kids faces when they see what Santa brought them.  At Care Factor we recognize the importance of family, and encourage you to help others in need this time of year.

From all the staff at Care Factor, we wish you and yours a very safe and happy Holiday season!
